NOTICE: There will be no Spring issue of Vistas & Byways. We will accept submissions for the Fall issue from May 1 to June 1, 2017. Any material submitted before May 1, 2017 will be returned to the author and must be resubmitted.
After publishing three issues, the current teams are clear on the amount of work involved in putting out the review. There are several roles which take too much time and effort from one person, especially loading the work onto the web. With this knowledge, we are taking time to re-organize, build our teams, and then get back on track in Fall. This is generally necessary for the sustainability and longevity of the review.
Loading to the web can be done from home, and is more a time issue than a tech issue. We especially need a co-coordinator for web work to work with our current web chair (who must step back this Spring) in February. We then hope to get a small group trained in March. With the right number of people, there should be no further disruptions going forward.

The contents of Vistas & Byways will not be submitted for copyright protection to the U.S. Copyright Office. Authors who wish to secure copyright protection for their work are responsible for filing for such copyright before submitting their work to the Editorial Board. Neither the Editorial Board nor Vistas & Byways assumes any responsibility for loss or damages to individual authors for copyright infringement of literary work displayed in the magazine.
Vistas and Byways, although often displaying works of genuine literary and artistic merit, is staffed solely by volunteers, and therefore cannot be compared to professional reviews with full-time paid staffs. And since we on the production team are also participants in writing and visual art classes at OLLI, some of our own works will be included in the review.
