Purpose of this Site
This site has been established by Mike Lambert on 11-11-22 to provide a skeleton site that contains all the structural elements necessary to build a new Issue of Vistas & Byways, Issue 15 with a scheduled publication date of 5-1-23. The contents of this site came from a copy of VBRSiteStructure1.weebly.com which was established in June 2021 by Jane Goldstein, original webmaster for VB Review. That site structure1 site had about 9/10s of all the structural elements that were used for the Nov. 2022 Issue 14. Those elements included: 1. Preview page text 2. Contents page text 3. About Us page text 4. Several forms including Comment Box, Contributor Agreement Form, Contact Us. 5. A standard footer used in the Archive issues. 6. A standard footer used for the active issue. 7. Several templates for fiction and poetry 8. Examples and samples of several color palettes used in the V&B issues. It was Mike's opinion in Nov. 2022 that the above material could be used, and added to, in order to make a standard structure site, that could be copied, and then populated with the literary and photographic material that was typically being uploaded to a new issue of V&B. This process of copying the SiteStructure1 website worked well in preparing the Nov. 2022 issue 14. MLL 11-11-22 Info update - 11-11-22; A copy of the vbrsitestructure1 site was successfully used as the beginning template for Issue 13, Spring 2022 and Issue 14, Fall 2022. It had all the structural and page elements necessary to fill out a full issue. This same process can be used to produce future issues of Vistas & Byways. MLL |
