White Canvas
by Kathryn J. Miller

Dreaming of Light from an unchartered universe
Bound in an envelope under a net of stars, there
White stretched canvas, clear and unmarked awaits
Time for another new start, a new mark realizing all the unseen
Possibilities yet to take part.

Let us paint our names in this book of Wonders
Let us sacrifice the perfect for the sake of Creation and
Remembering all are born of a friction we’ve known and practiced
Recognizing there is a part of us that has been asleep, forgetting
We can take joy to go in our life cups.

Walking into this new landscape, marking the
Miracles of mistakes, knowing crystals form on moonbeams
And yet form of their own uniqueness and
That white canvas awaits our strokes to fill
The space within and without, grateful for another chance

We hold our life with our two hands
Walking into new days of prospecting
Reminded we feel love more than see it.
We rest in the grace of the world remembering
The Light does not sleep and we can choose still
To be in love with life.
