Purpose of this Site
This site has been established by Mike Lambert on 11-11-23 to provide a platform to build Issue 17 of Vistas & Byways Review, scheduled to open on 5-1-24. The original contents of this site came from a copy of VBR Site Structure 1, a Weebly site established in 2022. Site Structure 1 was patterned from VBPractice site, set up by Jane Goldstein, original webmaster for VB Review. That practice site had about 3/4 of all the structural elements that were being used for current issues of V & B. Those elements included: 1. In this Issue page text 2. About Us page text 3. Several forms including Comment Box, Contributor Agreement Form, Contact Us. 4. A standard footer used in the Archive issues. 5. Several templates for fiction 6. Examples and samples of several color palettes used in the V&B issues. It was Mike's opinion in Nov. 2021 that the above material could be used, and added to, in order to make a standard structure site, that could be copied, and then populated with the literary and photographic material that was typically being uploaded to a new issue of V&B. Info update - 11-11-23; A similar web site, VBRBuildFall2023, copied from VBR Site Structure 1, was used to prepare issue 16 of Vistas & Byways, which went public on 11-1-23. This same process can be used to produce future issues of Vistas & Byways. MLL |
